1 1/2 c.7 Bean mix
1 Ham Hock
1 med. onion, diced
2 c. celery, diced
2 c. carrots, diced
5 Tbsp. Ham base
1/2 tsp. black pepper
3/4 c. flour
1 large egg
Soak beans in 4 cups water overnight in the refrigerator.  Drain the water.  Simmer beans in fresh water (enough to cover) until tender.  Drain and reserve the liquid.  Cook 1 ham hock in 2 quarts of water until meat falls from the bone.  Dice meat and reserve broth.  Combine reserved broth and liquid from beans (add water to make 2 quarts) and cook the vegetables until tender.  Beat egg.  Place flour in a bowl.  Pour egg in the middle.  Use a fork to draw egg through the flour to form crumbs.  Sprinkle crumbs into boiling broth.  Cover and simmer 10 minutes.  Add the ham & beans and serve.
7 Bean Ham Soup with Rivels
13 Bean & Smoked Sausage Chowder
2 c. 13 Bean Blend
1 qrt Fresh water
2 tsp. butter
1 tsp. lemon juice
4 tsp. low sod. chicken broth mix
4 c. potatoes (diced)
2 c. onions (diced)
1 1/2 c. celery (sliced w/leaves)
1 c. red & green peppers (diced)
1 can (15 oz) yellow corn
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. blk. pepper
1 qrt. whole milk
1 c. light cream
1 egg
3 Tbsp. corn stqrch
2 Tbsp. flour
1 lb. Smoked Sausage
(cooked & sliced 3/8")
1. Soak bean in 6 cups of water overnight & drain.
2. Simmer the first 5 ingredients together in a heavy              kettle for 30 minutes.
3. Add the next 5 ingredients and cook another 15                minutes til potatoes are tender.  (Do not stir much)
4. Add garlic salt,sage, black pepper & milk after this           addition & do not let boil.
5.  Blend light cream, egg, corn starch & flour together in       a bowl with a whip til smooth.
6.  Slowly add the step #5 mixture and heat gently to             thicken.  Add sausage & serve.
8 cups Water
1 1/2 cups Soup Mix
1 1/2 tsp. salt.

Simmer 1 hour. 
                       Add:  2 carrots, 2 stalks celery,
                                2 cups shredded cabbage,
                                1 qrt. tomatoes
                 1 lb. cooked ground beef
Simmer 20 additional minutes.
4 c. water
1 1/2 c. Harvest Soup Mix
1 c. carrots (diced or sliced)
1 c. clery & leaf (finely chopped)
1 c. shredded cabbage
1 c. diced tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp peper
1 tsp. checken broth mix or
    bouillon cubes
1/2 lb. cooked chicken, turkey,
    or ground beef

1.  Place water & Harvest soup mix in a heavy pot and         simmer for 1 hour.
2.  Add all other ingredients and simmer another hour.

Options:  Make with smoked sausage and add 1 cup of each fresh diced apples and sweet potatoes, instead of tomatoes.  Other spices that can be added:  savory, garlic and tarragon.
1 c. Holiday Sou Mix
1 quart water
1 Ham hock
1/2 c. diced onions
1 - 12 oz. diced tomatoes
2 1/2 tsp. Chili powder
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
(more or less to taste)
1.  Wash beans, place into a plastic container, cover with       2" of water and let soak in refridgerator overnight.
2.  Drain beans.
3.  In a heavy pot or crock pot, put the beans, 1 qrt. water and all the other ingredients.
4.  Simmer for 3 - 5 hours.
5.  Remove the ham hock, take the meat off the boen and add back to soup.
